5 Months, 3 Days...

Til Christmas. My dad announced this as we drove to church today. Yes, we also listened to Christmas music on the way. He has a never ending count down, if Santa were real, my dad would be him. He has the "bowl of jelly" belly, and the silver hair. Little kids also adore him. He loves Christmas, and I love him.

Besides Christmas is less than 6 months away... exactly one month from today... I move out, and I also turn 18. It will be one epic day. It will now be legal for me to date older men, and I can vote. Yeah! I will also have to attempt to survive on my own. I am getting old.

Before I die

My list of things to accomplish before I die is quite unique. You may find it odd, but here is it.

- ride in a hot air ballon. (check)
- get in a small, non life threatening car accident.
- dye my hair dark. maybe red?
- open an ice cream parlor.
- visit the Grand Canyon. (yes, I live in Utah, and have still failed to accomplish this)
- go horseback riding.
- surf, in the ocean, not behind a boat.
- swim in the Great Salt Lake.
- travel the world.
- have eight children.
- cry upside down. (check)
- be on tv. (check, Good Things Utah)
- see He Is We in concert.
- kiss a boy in the rain. (on every girls list of things to do)
- live in a really cute old house, (I have a few picked out)
-get married (of course)

And thats if for now I think...

10 things about me you probably didn't know.

1. I love reality tv. I am not sure why, but I do. 

2. I am slowly developing and addiction to Skittles. 

3. I am practically blind. When I take out my contacts, I can't see my self in the mirror. 

4. Sometimes I play my guitar and sing to myself in my bedroom. 

5. I am missing half an ear drum. 

6. I have never been kissed/had a boyfriend. 

7. I absolutely hate to run, but I am trying to teach myself to love it. 

8. I am a bit of a boss. I take control, that's how I am.   

9. I love cheesy romantic movies. 

10. My hair is as curly as can be. I grew up with a blond afro and now I look like a poodle. 

AARRGGG.

A man in an eye patch once asked me if my highlights were natural. 

I replied with a questioning no. 

He shook his head and walked away. 

Didn't by his chocolate. 

My manager laughed. 

And so did I. 

 

 

Goodmorning Inexperienced

I received a fearful wake up call upon making my first "grown up" payment. College housing. As if its not enough shock that in less then two months I will be living on my own, I have to pay just over a thousand dollars to do so. Reality has hit me hard. Months of hard works earnings are gone with the click of an 'make a payment button.'

I realized how inexperienced I am with cooking I am when I made salad dressing wrong. Bless my future roommates. I hope they aren't picky eaters and like burnt food. 

I will have to do my own laundry. I have the folding down... now just for the washing part. Trust me, its harder than it looks. 

One year from now most of my high school friends will be married. 

I am moving out on my 18th birthday. Officially date-able to college men. Yes. 

I am not ready to be a wife, and guys will be dating to find one.    

I will be able to vote for president. 

Oh boy, wish me luck!
