No Picture Day

Today was a fantastic day.
I ate some of my favorite ice cream- Coconut Joy- from the Creamery.
I drank 13 bottles of water. That's 320 oz.
I procrastinated all homework that I should have completed.
I watched Everything You Want with my roommates. Look it up. It is hilarious.
I made dinner for myself for the first time today!!! My mom has been sending me left overs every night since I have moved out. Yes, I have been living on my own for one month.
I took two naps.
I ate some of my favorite Bean and Bacon soup. Yum.
It rained so I wore my favorite rain jacket.
Its beginning to look and smell like fall!!!
I saw my sister on campus and we were wearing the EXACT same thing, walking to the same building, and going to the same floor. Twins?
I skyped with my dear friend Sarah.
A British man is in my Chem class.
OH what a wonderful day.

Homeless but Happy

I visited home today. My mom made me soup and homemade rolls and a fresh batch of her famous chocolate chip cookies. I love her. It was weird to go home and not feel home. But, my apartment doesn't feel like home either. I guess I currently consider myself homeless? (I sure look homeless)

This is me with her amazing cookies, you can tell by my face that I LOVE THEM!!!

And... this is me avoiding homework. I took my first college test today!!! And it wasn't as bad as I thought. Although, it was on the Book of Mormon and I have been reading it my whole life, it still counts. Now if I can only pass my chemistry exam tomorrow!!! Wish me luck!

Cake Candies, Cream Cheese, and Chickens...

Eva (my roommate) and I decided we wanted to get a little crazy and attempt to make cake candies. Yum! We got all the ingredients and after a trip to the Creamery went to work. I was put in charge of cracking the eggs... and I killed a baby chicken! One of the eggs was bad and the yoke was solid.

I was truly upset for the fate I caused this chicken. Especially because it was a baby! I love babies.
But, we got over it fast and continued with our masterpiece.

Oh the anticipations of the timer. We tired several times and finally got it....

And...

Then we found some mustache magnets...

In the end, our baking was a success... we do need to work on our presentation hence the lack of pictures of the final product. But they tasted really good!!!

I love college.

Heaven on earth!

Our singles ward had the Brigham City Temple open house. It was simply amazing. The spirit was so strong, and the temple was so beautiful. I love temples and the sweet spirit they hold. They are really the closest thing to Heaven on earth. I cannot wait to get married in the temple one day!

My rommates, FHE brothers and me!

Roomates on the way! I adore them.

It was a great day! I loved every minute of it. Can't wait for the dedication.

A new way to waste my time.

I finally joined the world of Pinterest. I have a feeling this will be where all my free time will now be spent. And this will be the cause of me gaining the freshmen fifteen. There are so many taunting desserts!

I ran into my sister on campus today. I love her! It made my day. People even mixed us up when we were walking right next to each other. I didn't help that we were wearing each others clothes... and the same pants! While studying in the library a guy mistook me for Chels, I awkwardly looked up and laughed... then we kept making 'I swear I know you but I am not sure' eye contact. He is still confused. Could I have been more awkward?

Apparently I talk in my sleep. I find myself occasionally waking up to me talking to myself, but according to my roommate I sleep talk way more than I thought.

I can't flirt. On purpose anyway. Only with out knowing it to people I am not particularly interested in. Its becoming a problem.

I have lost my water bottle, I am going through withdraws. I take it EVERYWHERE I go. Its kinda like my child.

They be creepin.

Its always said to expect the unexpected. None of the following could have been expected.

First: I went home to do laundry, and as usual I found myself at the mall with my sister, we get distracted easily. On the way there I turned to her and said...

"Chels, I feel like something is going to happen today. Not anything bad, just something unexpected."

So we continued, twenty minutes later I ran in to an old crush, (he may have been a T-Mobile boy...) So after freaking out, I very calmly said "Hi!" and waved in which he smiled and waved back. Cute.

Second: I hate grocery shopping by myself. I spend money on things I probably shouldn't and always get distracted. When staring at a giant wall of crackers I felt someone watching me. Behind me is a semi-sketchy looking gentleman with a half missing front tooth. He said... Ma'am, is you single?... I said. Yeah I am (slipping my just in case ring on my finger behind my back, thank you Caitlin) He says...(in a black man accent) oh daaaang, you is beauuuutifowl. I say... thanks. Grab some crackers and walk away shaking. I felt like he was going to jump me then and there. Creepy.

(twenty minutes later)

Third: Between my apartment and another one we have a little semi-alley leading to the dumpsters. I had this great idea to take the trash out. With pepper spray on my key chain I grabbed the trash and headed out. Walking behind me a few steps is a man/boy/someone I don't know. He says... I like your shirt... I say.. thanks.... he says... its my favorite color... and I say... its pretty fun... and he says... and you are sure looking good in it... I say... uh thanks.... then walk faster. I then pass by my FHE brother's apartment window and they all say hi. I stop to talk for a minute, then one of them says... hey that kid made me a burrito once. What? I turn around and the 'I like your shirt guy' is standing behind me... I just walked away... slowly.

(later)

Fourth: A man that works at this burger place that I may have had my eye on for YEARS now may be back. After going on a mission he is back to work and cuter than ever. Don't worry I have never actually spoken to him, and I may have named my guitar after him. (Back story to come soon.)

(even later)

Fifth: I once had a crush (and by once I mean I totally still do) on a different T-Mobile boy. I may be writing his brother on a mission (who I have never met) and there may be an awkward love pentagon... but lets just say... I finally got the courage to add him on facebook... and he accepted!!!!

(today)

Sixth: I went out to my car this morning to find this stuck to my wind shield.

Alright... Caitlin? Was this you? We all know this isn't real. But hey, it just added to everything.

Seventh: While writing this blog post, there was some very loud and urgent knocking at our back alley way door. Jessica and I (my dorm-mate is also named Jessica) opened the door to find a man in a mask with a knife. His mask was tin foil and the knife was a butter one. He had his head cocked creepily to the side and was taping on the window with his knife. I freaked. Yes, I was being recorded. He kept knocking and we kept opening the door. Jessica kept as calm as can be, then freaked out when there was a bug above the door. What? Not at the creepy masked man at the door?

Anyways, this was a really long post, but I hope you enjoyed it!

We don't understand Chemistry...

...and this is why.

Meet Caitlin, she is one of my best friends! We are like this (I am crossing my fingers.) We happen to have chemistry together, so on Thursday afternoons we can most likely be found in the Lib. (Library) We study and mostly entertain ourselves with people watching.

We like to study in the library, but we are easily distracted by the
cute men and the awkward couples. Exhibit 1.

We are also really creepy.

Just Because...

The purpose for this blog has always been to record my life. I have been debating a blog title for a while now, and as much as I love my name... I just got a little bored. In essence this blog is my online journal, and in a round about way the purpose, like any other journal, is for my kids. (Which I am so excited to have!!!) So, if you haven't made the connection, I am going to name my future daughter Peyton. Hence, 'Dear Peyton.' This may be only temporary but could last a while. Lets see how I feel about it!

Many Miracles

Miracle One: I made it through teaching Gospel Doctrine. I got the class to participate a lot, which makes my job teaching a whole lot easier. I believe we learn more from our classmates than we do the teacher, so the participation greatly improved my lesson. And, I got lots of compliments, so it must have not been that bad!

Miracle Two: I bowled a 145 last night. My highest score until yesterday was 35. I have been known for my record of bowling 12 gutter balls in a row. For some reason last night I was on fire! I almost got kicked out for not wearing shoes. I forgot socks and who want to wear used bowling shoes without them? Maybe that's the secret to last nights success? ha ha I don't know.

Miracle Three: There are soooooooo many attractive guys around campus! I die just walking to class. The sad thing is that as big as campus is you will probably never see them again. I also think I met my future husband. He was so spicy, I passed him in the book store and I don't think he noticed me. But, we will meet again because I am convinced it is meant to be.
