The Candy Land Series: The Musical Man

Singing to girls isn't normal. Especially when you don't know them. At all.

I once had a guy come into the store and ask me for help. Normal. Until, once I offered advice, he motioned to me to walk around the counter using his index and middle finger like a little man. Not normal. I took the long walk around the counter and he proceeded to look me up and down. Not to mention that he is about 28 and I was 17. Gross. After helping him locate some chocolate directly behind him (sorry sir, but are you blind?) I returned to my spot behind the counter. I started putting his order together when he starts asking the question. How old are you? But, he was being sneaky (or not so much) and instead asked where I went to school. Without hesitation I replied- insert high school name here. Usually that does it to the older ones, but not him. He proceeded to ask me where I lived and what I like to do. Its kind of the same scenario of the nosy hair dresser, I really wasn't interested in telling him my life story. I asked for his method of payment, and just when I thought things were getting normal again. They didn't. He started singing to me as I was bagging his order. He started singing Just The Way You Are. I avoided eye contact and handed him his bag. He sang all the way out the door and I still didn't look at him.

Should I have told him that wasn't normal to improve his chances with the next 17 year old he tried to hit on? Naw.
